Cultural Compulsive Disorder: Artist Profile: Sam Spratt

I love it when things come full circle. I find this happening more and more these days. I fist saw artists Sam Spratt's work when Rainn Wilson decided to adopt Spratt's drawing of him with a Bear Skin on his head as his own personal Twitter avatar. Imagine how cool that must have been for Spratt... so cool. But that's just the tip of the iceberg for Spratt. Directly out of college Spratt was tapped to be the ONLY illustrator for the Gawker Media empire (Gawker, Gizmodo, Kotaku, etc)... not to shabby. He has gone on to create some fantastic pieces of celebs, and even a Game Informer Magazine cover that is bananas!!! Oh, and I almost forgot... Spratt is from Brooklyn as well!!!!
