I love it when a plan comes together... especially if it comes together 25 years after the inception of the idea. 'Miami Connection' is a shitty 1987 Kung Fu movie that combines ridiculous haircuts, terrible fight scenes, silly decapitations & dismemberment, and a synth rock back story that never saw much of the light of day. Then Jason Eisner, director of Hobo with a Shotgun, bought a copy of the film on Ebay for 50 bucks and decided to re-edit the film for Drafthouse Films. The result is a completely new movie that is about to be released at Fantastic Fest this year and may be coming to a indy theater near you. (Landmark Sunshine Cinemas in NYC on Nov 2nd & 3rd) Holy shit does this look nuts. Check out the newly minted trailer after the jump...
